Metabolic syndrome is the medical name for a combination of diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity.

Having two or all three together damages the blood vessel even more and puts you at greater risk of heart diseases and stroke. Normally with the metabolic syndrome there is also a presence of high triglycerides and low levels of good HDL cholesterol which increases the risk of atherosclerosis.
